Tom Felton Excited ‘Harry Potter’ Saga Is Ending

While Rupert Grint may be expressing his sadness of leaving character Ron Weasley behind, Tom Felton is ready to say goodbye to character Draco Malfoy.

As the Harry Potter Saga is quickly approaching the end of production, Tom Felton is quite excited to finally be able to explore his career options without Draco Malfoy overshadowing it every year.

“I think everyone is expecting the Harry Potter cast to break down as it comes to its end, but I feel a real mix of emotions. There is a little bit of sadness, but at the same time there is excitement,” Tom tells the U.K.’s Daily Mail.

Felton goes on to say how nice it will be to not worry about keeping his locks golden, or his skin spf’ed up, saying: “I certainly haven’t had much freedom to keep my own hair color, or lay in the sun, or do anything remotely dangerous like skiing. It was nice to go on holiday and not have to slap on the SPF50 and sit under an umbrella with three caps on.”

Felton also hints around that the most exciting thing about post-Harry Potter will be exploring and filling roles beyond the saga. But I have to ask – will we ever be able to stop relating the name Tom Felton to the character Draco Malfoy – and after such a franchise so big, do you think he will finally find his place in Hollywood as just an actor?
