Brittany Murphy’s Mom Writing Tell-All Book

Sharon Murphy, mother of the late star Brittany Murphy, has announced this Wednesday that she’ll be penning a bio about her daughter.

The announcement came on what would have been Brittany’s 33rd birthday, and in a statement, Sharon explains her reasoning for the book, saying: “This book will be my way of celebrating and honoring her extraordinary life and career. Brittany was a kind, loving person who enjoyed each day, she was my life.”

The actress, who starred in such films as Clueless, 8 Mile, Abandoned, and Don’t Say a Word, died last December after going into full cardiac arrest at her L.A. home. An autopsy later determined that a combination of pneumonia and prescription drugs were the cause.

“I am looking forward to everyone reading the accurate account about my daughter, her life, loves and career,” Sharon added. “A portion of the proceeds that I receive from the book will be donated to charity.”
