Hollywood Has-Been Gary Collins Served Warrant

Gary Collins is looking more and more like Randy Quaid these days. A judge has now issued a $100,000 arrest warrant after Collins failed to appear for a Nov. 4 progress report hearing for his 2007 DUI case.

Collins is accused of misdemeanor hit-and-run after allegedly slamming his Jeep into vehicle carrying a family of three, causing a three-car pile up and then leaving the scene of the accident—supposedly with alcohol on his breath, according to the victims.

The 72-year-old former Circus of the Stars ringmaster is no stranger to boozing and cruising, having been arrested on drunken driving charges at least times since 2002, including the 2007 bust in L.A., which earned him four days in jail.

The L.A. prosecution team will now move to revoke his probation, which could lead to jail time back in California. The irony of the whole situation seems to be that if only Collins would have shown up for court all of this could have been avoided. The judge was expected to end his probation.

Collins was served the warrant at his home and ordered to appear in court there on Dec. 9.
