‘Ugly Betty’ Bit Player Charged With Mom’s Murder
Micheal Brea is looking quite ‘ugly’ at the current moment. The New York actor is accused of hacking his mother to death with a sword.
Brea, who had small roles in Ugly Betty and Step Up 3-D, admitted that he “killed the demon inside her”, but prosecutors apparently aren’t buying it.
The small time actor has been officially charged with second-degree murder. He did not enter a plea when he was arraigned this past Friday from the hospital prison ward [where he’s been undergoing a psych evaluation since the Nov. 23 slaying].
“I didn’t kill her. I killed the demon inside her [he says about the bathroom slaying of his 55 year old mother Yannick Brea],” Brea said. “So be it. It was the work of God.”
The 31-year-old changed his stroy briefly after those incriminating statements, stating that he was uptown when he received a “sign.” A man approached him, he said, and “kept trying to put something in my hand but wouldn’t show it to me. I kept opening my hand. It was a Freemason pin. I wouldn’t touch it.” Then, on the train back to Brooklyn, “like Neo from The Matrix” he “began hearing voices and feeling powerful.
Brea’s attorney has yet to comment, though his next court date is confirmed to be Dec. 18th of this year.
