Marc Anthony Owes Millions In Back Taxes

Marc Anthony owes millions to some pretty important people; the Internal Revenue Service.

According to a New York judgments and liens filing dating back to March 29, Anthony was hit with a tax lien on some property he owns in Long Island. But that’s not the only time he’s failed to pay the government its due.

The Latin pop star also had a lien filed against the same piece of real estate in December of 2009, this one for $1.6 million, bringing the total amount owed to the IRS to a whopping $3.4 million.

In 2007, the crooner paid $2.5 million in back taxes to federal and state governments for failing to file returns on nearly $15.5 million in income over a five-year period. And while he himself wasn’t on the hook personally, three of his corporate entities including his touring company, did plead guilty to various tax crimes.

Unless Anthony plans on sharing a cell with Wesley Snipes anytime soon in federal prison, I’d suggest handing over the millions! If he doesn’t have it, we’re sure his superstar wife Jennifer Lopez does!

  1. I am so tired of hearing about celebrities who aren’t paying their taxes. If us poor people can do it, the ones rolling around in millions shouldn’t have a problem. Ugh.
