Ellen Pompeo To Rachael Taylor: Be Grateful

The 26-year-old Australian actress is becoming an angel, and not just any angel….one of Charlie’s Angels! Taylor is set to leave for Miami next week, where the pilot episode of expected ABC hit series [should it get picked up] will begin production. But filling the shoes of one of Charlie’s Angels almost certainly comes with the worry and stress that the role is played out perfectly and channels the standards of the women who filled the shoes in the past [which only amounts to a mere seven].

Grey’s Anatomy co-star Ellen Pompeo obviously understands this, as she has offered a few words of wisdom to Taylor, should the pilot get picked up to series…”‘You gotta sleep, you gotta eat well, you gotta work out, you gotta be grateful,'” Taylor recalls, mimicking Pompeo’s American accent. “I feel like they were very good lessons if the show should go on to be a success.”

Joining the Charlie’s Angels franchise is “daunting,” Taylor says. “There’s something about girls kicking ass that just appeals to my personal taste at the moment.”

“Often, as a young actress, you find yourself being the only girl in a room full of men… and one of the reasons why I like Grey’s Anatomy is because they have such strong female characters and the women really drive this show.”

As for future Angel co-stars Minka Kelly and Annie Ilonzeh, Taylor says, “Annie is tough, feminine and fantastic. Minka’s exterior beauty is matched by what a sweet, warm girl she is. As far as girls that I could potentially be spending a lot of time with, I’m very relieved that it’s both of them.”
