Nicolas Cage was arrested early this morning in New Orleans and was charges with one count of domestic abuse and one count of disturbing the peace.
According to reports Nic Cage taunted the police before he was arrested. It’s being said that Cage was “very drunk” when a cab driver saw him arguing with his wife. The cab driver called the police and when they arrived, they told Nic and his wife to go home. Cage then allegedly said, “Why don’t you just arrest me?” He kept taunting them so they ended up arresting him. A bond was set for $11,000, and Cage has since been released.
Cage and his wife Alice were fighting over the address of an apartment they were renting. According to the New Orleans Police Department, Cage and his wife were standing in front of a property he thought they were renting. When she said it wasn’t, he grabbed her arm to take her to the correct address. She wasn’t injured.
If you were wondering who posted Nic Cage’s bail, it turns out that it was Duane Chapman, aka Dog the Bounty Hunter. Cage was being held on a bond of $11,000. Beth, Dog’s wife, alluded to this on her Twitter saying: “My guy just walked out of the jail damn new Orleans 8 hours holy cow that’s a lot of time to Process one guy.”
