Josh Holloway Rolls Up His Sleeves And Gets Dirty In Our National Parks

Actor Josh Holloway, known for his role as James ‘Sawyer’ Ford in the hit ABC drama Lost, is teaming up with Nature Valley and the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) to help protect America’s national parks for future generations. National Parks Week is April 16-24 and Josh – a lifelong outdoorsman – is encouraging Americans and their kids to get outside and visit the parks this week when they’re free.

To kick-off National Parks Week, Nature Valley is announcing its continued commitment to the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) and will contribute up to $500,000 in 2011 to help preserve America’s national parks.

This past weekend, Josh Holloway, along with representatives from the National Parks Project and local volunteers, participated in hands-on preservation to restore land north of Joshua Tree National Park.

“There’s nothing I love more than being outside and exploring the incredible beauty of our national parks,” said Holloway. “However, the parks are facing huge challenges and that’s why I’m excited to be partnering with Nature Valley to help raise awareness and funds for the preservation of our national parks.”
