House: Has Cuddy Flown The Coop?

In some surprising news today, Lisa Edelstein, best known for playing Dr. Cuddy on long running hit Fox show House, has announced that she will not be returning to the show for its eighth season.

In her official statement released today Lisa said, “After much consideration, I am moving onward with a combination of disappointment at leaving behind a character I have loved playing for seven years and excitement of the new opportunities in acting and producing that lie ahead.”

No further explanation was given regarding her further departure.
