The Daily Verse: Trailers For Days And A Next-Gen Bethesda Game!

Today on The Daily verse, we have trailers for The Last Story, Sonic 4 Episode 2, I Am Alive, Nexuiz, Raccoon City, The Witcher 2, and Gotham City Impostors DLC. All that, and some information Bethesda’s next title. So let’s get down to business.

First off, it was recently announced that The Last Story would be coming to the US exclusive to Nintendo’s Wii. They also announced the details of the Limited Edition. “The limited edition bundle of The Last Story contains an exclusive SteelBook™ cover, a copy of the game and a The Elements Of The Last Story package, which includes The Premium Soundtrack CD and The Illustrations art booklet. The CD features a 7-track selection of music from the game composed by Nobuo Uematsu who has also collaborated with Hironobu Sakaguchi on many of his previous iconic RPGs.” We’ve got a trailer for this right below. It releases on February 24th.

Next up is a brand new trailer for Sonic 4 Episode 2. SEGA is showing off several new levels, as well as the return of both Tails and Metal Sonic. Not only that, but the return of the classic Sonic 2 bonus levels. In addition to that, Sonic and Tails seem to be able to combine for some kind of combo spin dash. You can see it all in the latest trailer, which we’ve got handy for you. It will be coming to XBLA and PSN.

However, we’re just getting started, we’ve also got another trailer, although this time it’s a Dev Diary from the makers of Ubisoft’s upcoming post apocalyptic survival game, I Am Alive. This new title will take a different tack, not going with horror, but instead pure survival and in a more realistic manner. The developers go into quite a bit of detail about what makes this PSN/XBLA title so unique. It releases next week on the 7th on XBLA, no release date yet for PSN.

Next is a title you may not be as familiar with, but it’s another XBLA PSN title releasing on the 29th for XBLA but no release date yet for PSN. This is a fast paced twitch FPS that claims to take the genre back to its roots. The launch trailer below speaks for itself beyond that.

From here we move onto the Witcher 2 – Assassin of Kings. This is a port of a sequel to a PC only game that will be arriving exclusive to the Xbox 360 on April 17th. The trailer below is an introduction to the game’s protagonist, known as the Kingslayer. No relation to the Game of Thrones character.

The last trailer we’ve got lined up is a simpler one. Gotham City Impostors is getting some DLC that will fix some bugs, add some weapons and some maps. They decided it was worthy of a trailer, and we decided the trailer was worthy of being posted. Now you decide if it’s worth downloading.

We’re almost done! One more bit of news, I’m sure you’re all been waiting for. The fine folks over at CVG have found an interesting job posting over at Bethesda. It seems they’re looking to hire for an as of yet unannounced project. Here’s the kicker, it’s for next-gen systems. It shouldn’t come as a surprise given Bethesda’s notoriously long development cycles, but it’s a definite confirmation that next-gen is almost upon us. Will Fallout 4 be a launch title for the next Xbox? We’ll have to wait and see.

So that’s it for today’s Daily Verse, bringing you a smattering of what’s new in gaming today. Stop by every day for your gaming fix. We’re always keeping our eyes peeled to bring you all the best news in the verse’!
