E3 2012: Ubisoft Press Conference

Ubisoft began their conference with the reveal of Just Dance 4 for Wii U and other platforms. They revealed it by live demonstration with dancing girls and a rapper. Luckily the live performance was the only awkward moment of the whole event.

Far Cry is back with Far Cry 3 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. This footage is a demonstration of one of the levels- Very fun and triply stuff. Be warned, the video is NSFW do to a topless scene at the start.

Ubisoft revealed other sequel for their beloved franchise Splinter Cell with Splinter Cell: Blacklist for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

For the Wii U and Xbox Kinect experience, comes Avengers: Battle for Earth.

Rayman Legends has now been officially revealed as a Wii U exclusive for the system. Game allows use of the Wii U Pro Controller as well as the Wii U GamePad. Co-Op can be experienced with upto 5 plays available to play with. The Wii U has a special character that uses the touchscreen to enteract with the environment. This can be found at launch for Wii U.

Hot off of announcing Rayman Legends, comes another launch title for Wii U, called ZombiU. This is basically an evolved version of Killer Freaks from last year’s E3. Not much is currently known about the game yet. The trailer was very impressive, but was all CGI. It has been noted that this is a Survival Horrer game with an interesting death system. When your character dies, you will be revived as a new survivor allowing you to track down and kill your previous character and gain those supplies.

To be released late this year, is Assassin’s Creed 3 for multiple systems including: Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, and PC.

Ubisoft demostarted a live Shootmania multiplayer on stage. Check it out.

Saved for last, is their new IP, Watch Dogs. This has a very interesting concept behind it. Basically you are a spy like character that has control over the city’s advance network of information. For example, you can listen into anyone’s cell phone conversation and gather info on who they are and what they are like. You can even cause traffic lights to go nuts to create a traffic jam. The entire city is basically a huge playground for you to play in. This seems like a very strategic game. No platforms were announced, but this type of game seems perfect for the Wii U, don’t you think?

  1. Hands down the best showing- and it didn’t stop with their conference. They also had the best showings at Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo’s shows as well lol. Ubisoft domination.
