Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Launch Trailer Released

In what should surprise no one, the ever popular Call of Duty series has reached a new record with its upcoming anticipated game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. According to Gamestop, the series latest entry is seeing its highest pre-order amount in history according to the company’s president Tony Bartel. Those that pre-order the game at Gamestop currently will receive the bonus multiplayer map “Nuketown 2025” when they pick up their game copy. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is currently scheduled to release on November 13th for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. The Wii U version will be released less than a week later on the 18th.

With around a month until the launch of the Wii U version, Activision is currently in talks with Nintendo to include DLC map packs and season passes with its game on the Wii U marketplace. For those that are unsure what a season pass is, a season pass is a subscription you purchase to buy all current and future map packs from a game. This guarantees you will receive them when they arrive and usually at a discount. Activision also revealed that it will be making its Call of Duty Elite service free for all customers. This will be done with DLC packages stripped out and sold through a standalone season pass. Activision did however warn that DLC packs “may not be available on all gaming platforms”.

If you are looking for anything to hold you over until this game releases, perhaps this recently released launch trailer will hold you over for now.

So will you be picking up Call of Duty: Black Ops 2?
