James McAvoy Will Offer Original Take On Professor Xavier

Patrick Stewarts iconic turn as Professor Charles Xavier impressed us all, but it seems James McAvoy has no plans to mimic the actor’s take on the infamous Professor when he stars as the character in ‘X-Men: First Class’. McAvoy promises in a recent interview to ‘bury’ the performance.

“I’m basically going to try and bury Patrick’s performance,” McAvoy joked, explaining that the sequel takes place far enough in advance of the first ‘X-Men’ film that he doesn’t feel the need to mimic Stewart’s take.
