Robert Downey Jr. Is The New Mr. Peanut

Robert Downey Jr has gone totally nuts! Don’t panic, it’s not a mental thing – it’s more of a all natural thing…with a little bit of salt.

The geniuses at Kraft-owned Planters have snagged the star as the voice of a redesigned Mr. Peanut — the dapper top hat-wearing, monocle-sporting, cane-carrying mascot of the Planters brand.

And sorry fans, but Downey the peanut won’t be all exposed this time around…his Mr. Peanut wears a shirt, tie and gray flannel suit jacket. (Still no pants, though.)

“At Planters, we know how to throw a remarkable holiday party,” he says in the new ad. “Just serve classy snacks and be a gracious host, no matter who shows up.”

Mr. Peanut…you’ve never been more admired!
