Mark Zuckerberg Announces Big Changes To Facebook On ’60 Minutes’

Facebook users, you’re defenitely going to ‘Like’ this!

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told 60 Minutes this past Sunday that there will be sweeping changes to his social networking website for the first time in two years, including a new design and features that highlight the mutual ties between each user.

“You can see all of the things that you have in common with that person,” the 26-year-old billionaire told CBS’s Lesley Stahl. “It gives you an amazing connection.”

Another enhanced feature of the re-designed Web site, which is used by 500 million browsers in 70 languages worldwide, is the See Friendship option, which sorts out all of the pictures, groups and messages two users have in common. Users can also sort out the people they talk to the most, such as family and close friends, with the Featured Friends option.

Zuckerberg, who was portrayed by actor Jesse Eisenberg in this fall’s hit flick, The Social Network, said other features such as hometown, jobs, birthdays and relationships will be featured more prominently atop each profile page.

  1. LOL use the hide feature 😉 I do also If more ppl hid their friends list it helps. I know I have gotten message from people complaining that they don’t see this or that. But I do this because of my kids 😉 I like some of the new fetchers and others take some getting useto. lol It also may cause some people to think more before posting things. But I guess I am looking at all the aspects from a moms point of view.
LOL and Jack do what I did make a separate account account for only friends and family. That’s how the girls are set.
