Billy Crystal Will Be Hosting The Oscars

Billy Crystal has announced that he will host this year’s Oscars. Crystal announced the news himself over Twitter yesterday:

“Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions. Looking forward to the show.”

Crystal replaces Eddie Murphy, who backed out after Brett Ratner resigned as producer. This is Crystal’s ninth time hosting.
