Fox Announces Premiere Date For ‘The Chicago Code’

Fox has announced the premiere date for their new cop drama The Chicago Code.

The show comes from The Shield creator Shawn Ryan, and will debut on Fox Monday, Feb. 7 at 9/8c, the network announced this past Wednesday.

The show stars Jason Clarke and Jennifer Beals, and the series, formerly titled Ride-Along, follows Chicago’s most powerful cops as they try to fight crime and expose corruption within the city.

The Chicago Code will replace Lie to Me on the schedule [though the show is expected to return later on in the year].

With all the crime shows currently on television, will The Chicago Code pull in the ratings? Or will if be shelved after only a couple of episodes like the recent premiere series Lone Star?
