Grey’s Anatomy Cast Member To Direct Upcoming Episode

Grey’s Anatomy‘s Kevin McKidd, who plays character Dr. Owen Hunt on the show, will be hanging up his scrubs in trade for a director’s chair in an upcoming episode!

The 37-year-old actor, who directed the Grey’s Anatomy webisodes on ABC.com, will be behind the camera instead of in front of it for Episode 13 of the show’s season [set to air February 2011]. The actor has been admirably shadowing various directors on the set recently to get the scope of what the job entails.

Movin’ on up there aren’t we Dr. Hunt? Are you looking forward to the McKidd-directed episode? Do you respect the actor for trying to broaden his horizons on the show? Or should he stick to the scrubs instead of the lens?

  1. I’m sure Dr. Journeyman’s episode will be both thrilling and intriguing, raising more questions than it answers. My expectation is mysterious individuals from Dr. Hunt’s past will enter the narrative and provide clues that later prove key to resolving his patients’ medical and personal problems. Then suddenly, after McKidd-directed episodes gather a fan-following of their own, Grey’s producers will withdraw support entirely without reason or explanation thus casting the fan-following back into the abyss from which it came. Like they always do.

  2. Haha, you guys are too cute! 🙂 I’m really interested in seeing this even though I don’t watch the show. It’s great that an actor is broadening their horizons, very brave 🙂
