‘The Simpsons’ Confirmed For A 23rd Season

Fox Network renewed the animated hit comedy The Simpsons yet again, further solidifying it’s place in TV history as the longest-running comedy ever.

The upcoming 23rd season will bring the total number of episodes aired to a whopping 515! And as always, the new season will bring a slew of celebrity guest-stars along with it.

Already confirmed to voice a character or two are Hollywood hot-listers Halle Berry, Paul Rudd, Ricky Gervais, Rachel Weisz, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Alyson Hannigan, Martha Stewart and Katy Perry. Oh, and for all the Perry fans out there, the newlywed singer will appear in a live-action sequence with Simpsons puppets [Sesame Street laugh-riot anyone?].

Al Jean, the show’s exec producer, expressed his happiness recently about the show’s continuance on Fox, saying: “Like many 22-year-olds, The Simpsons is extremely happy remaining at home, on Fox, and hopes it doesn’t have to go out into the real world for many years to come.”

By now, almost every show on television has to be glowing with yellow envy! Are you excited for a 23rd season? And fans, weigh in; why do you think the show has lasted so long?
