Lewis: “Fame Is Hard to Grasp”

U.K. singer LEONA LEWIS is struggling to come to terms with international superstardom – because she finds the consequences of fame “hard to grasp”.

The former X Factor winner has become hugely successful since her meteoric rise to fame on the show in 2006 – shooting to the top of the U.S. charts last week (begs25Mar08) with her smash hit ballad Bleeding Love.

But even though the former receptionist is finding the pressures of stardom difficult, she brands her new lifestyle in the spotlight as “incredible”.

She says, “I’m still trying to get my head around it (fame). I can’t really grasp it.

“It’s amazing. I’m just so thankful for this opportunity to come here and to be able to sing in different places all around the world. The reception’s been amazing, people have been really great.”
