1960 – Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley appeared together on a TV special and performed each other’s hit of the day. Elvis crooned “Witchcraft” while Sinatra sang “Love Me Tender.”

1963 – Bob Dylan walked out of dress rehearsals for “The Ed Sullivan Show” after CBS censors told him he couldn’t sing “Talkin’ John Birch Paranoid Blues.”

1965 – The Rolling Stones recorded their classic and one of Rock n’ Roll’s most time-tested songs: “Satisfaction.”

1971 – Jerry Lee Lewis divorced his cousin Myra.

1971 – Mick Jagger married Bianca Perez Morena de Macias.

1972 – The Rolling Stones released Exile on Main St.

1977 – The Eagles scored a gold record for “Hotel California.”

1983 – “Bat Out Of Hell” singer Meatloaf filed for bankruptcy.

2002 – Though the edifice was still under construction, Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton lost his Cape Cod home in a fire.
