1970 – The Beatles film “Let it Be” premiered in New York.

1971 – Grace Slick crashed her Mercedes Benz into a concrete wall near San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.

1977 – Linda Ronstadt denied that she’d received a $1 million offer to pose nude for Hustler.

1985 – Bruce Springsteen married Julianne Phillips, though they separated in 1989.

1993 – A season finale of the “The Simpsons” featured The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bette Midler and Barry White.
