1987 – U2’s thundering sound system set off earthquake alarms in two neighborhoods during a concert in Rome’s Flaminio Stadio.

1988 – Van Halen opened their “Monster Of Rock” touring festival in Wisconsin at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre.
