1966 – The Beatles first employed a reversed tape loop in their song “Rain.” The song was the B-side to their single, “Paperback Writer.”
1976 – A Seattle Wings concert set a record for the largest indoor concert crowd. 67,100 fans gathered to watch Paul McCartney & Co. perform.
1977 – The Clash’s Joe Strummer and Topper Headon were arrested after painting the name of their band on a wall in London.
1978 – Joe Walsh released the song “Life’s Been Good.”
1992 – A Los Angeles judge dismissed a $25 million palimony suit filed by Kelly Emberg against Rod Stewart.
