1995 – Courtney Love was admitted to the hospital after experiencing a reaction to prescription medicine.

1996 – Metallica played a show at a small San Francisco club that was broadcast over the Internet.

1998 – Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland played hooky for a scheduled court date, instead choosing to check himself into a drug treatment facility.
