1976 – Blue Oyster Cult released their album Agents of Fortune.
1977 – Led Zeppelin performed a one-off concert in San Diego between six shows in New York and six gigs in Los Angeles.
1982 – Newly founded supergroup Asia’s self-titled debut topped the albums chart.
1984 – Tickets for a 10-night run by Bruce Springsteen at New Jersey’s Meadowlands Arena went on sale. A day later, 202,000 tickets had been bought by fans.
1986 – The Genesis single “Invisible Touch” hit #3 in the US.
2000 – Professor Patrick Ladd joined Bob Dylan’s group at a show in Portland, Oregon, signing Dylan’s lyrics for the hearing impaired.
2003 – Festival organizers canceled the opening date of the Lollapalooza tour because Jane’s Addiction’s stage wouldn’t fit Michigan’s Ionia County Fairgrounds venue.
