1978 – The film version of “Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” starring Peter Frampton and The Bee Gees, opened in New York City. It was a critical and commercial flop.
1998 – Aerosmith announced the postponement of the first 13 dates of a U.S. tour after drummer Joey Kramer sustained second-degree burns in a gas station fire.
