1966 – Donovan released “Mellow Yellow.”

1967 – Jerry Lee Lewis recorded his hit, “To Make Love Sweeter for You.”

1970 – The Doors took the stage for the last time with Jim Morrison in New Orleans.

1979 – Jefferson Starship co-founder Marty Balin’s rock opera “Rock Justice” opened at San Francisco’s Old Waldorf night club. The show would run for four-days.

1987 – Sly Stone was arrested for nonpayment of child support after showing up an hour late for his “comeback” concert in Los Angeles.

1990 – Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood was injured when a car hit him outside of London.
