SNL: The Lonely Island’s ‘Turtleneck & Chain’ Releases Today

Many of you out there may not be familiar with Lonely Island, but most of you have probably come across their work at some point. Lonely Island is a comedic trio made up of Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone. The trio currently work on ‘Saturday Night Live’ with Samberg in the cast and Schaffer and Taccone as writers. Before that the three comedians formed Lonely Island. Their work has been regularly seen on Saturday Night Live Digital Shorts in which the trio has written songs and prepared music videos. Among the most well-known are “Lazy Sunday”, “J in my Pants” and the huge hit “I’m on a Boat.” All of these hits were released on their debut album ‘Incredibad’ in 2009.

Well today, May 10th, the trio is releasing ‘Turtleneck & Chain’, a follow-up compilation of their more well-known songs as well as some more originals that nobody has heard yet. In addition, they are releasing a DVD that has some of the videos that have aired on Saturday Night Live. Check it out, it’s worth a listen.
