Animated ‘Tron’ Television Series on the Way
Tron: Legacy screenwriters Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis have spoken on the upcoming animated Tron television series, proclaiming it to be a “micro series” that will bridge the first two movies.
“There’s a 10-part micro series that will premiere next summer that Eddie and I wrote,” said Horowitz. “And we’ve also worked on a couple of episodes with the series itself. We’ve hired an incredible team; we’ve got a guy running the show named Charlie Bean who is an amazing director.”
He added that the show “will take place from when Flynn is in a safe house. It’s from when Clu takes over the grid to before when Sam comes in. So if you were wondering what was the grid like before that, then watch the show.”
The show will feature a voice cast including Bruce Boxleitner, Elijah Wood, Linda Moore, Paul Reubens and Lance Henriksen.
