NBC Picks Up ‘Wonder Woman’

After being declared dead, the Wonder Woman television show is back to life thanks to NBC. The network has ordered a pilot of the David E. Kelley-scripted adaptation of the D.C. character.

Originally, all the networks passed on the idea, though NBC had only done so because the network was “in a state of flux” due to the NBC/Comcast merger. Now that that’s finalized, the network has picked up the show.

The show is being described as “a reinvention of the iconic D.C. comic in which Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.”
