Discovery Sets Airdate For Expected Hit Series Human Planet

Discovery’s upcoming epic series Human Planet is already receiving remarkable response from critics! The network recently picked up their ratings with a slew of new Planet Earth and Life series and specials, and their hoping their winning streak continues with a show already being deemed “astounding”, Human Planet.

Human Planet, a six-part series, will air from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on three consecutive Sundays this spring: April 10, 17 and 24. A co-production between Discovery and the BBC, the show will look deeper into how we as humans live in a wide variety of habitats — including the Arctic, rivers and oceans, mountains, grasslands, deserts and jungles.

Discovery considers Human Planet a sort of branch out from their hit Life, which looked at animals in diverse climates. The show was shot in more than 70 locations over the course of four years and “provides a look at mankind’s relationship with nature and how people have braved the elements, overcome obstacles, and found ways to survive and thrive in the extremes of our planet,” the channel says.

Don’t miss the series premiere of Human Planet on Discovery April 10th, 2010.
