Sebastian Stan Has Seven More Winter Soldier Appearances

Sebastian Stan may be playing the Winter Soldier for a while. The actor revealed that he signed a nine-picture deal when he came on board to play Bucky Barnes in Captain America: The First Avenger and with Captain America: The Winter Soldier in the can, that gives him seven more films.

In the comic books Bucky eventually took on the role of Captain America after Steve Rogers was killed by Crossbones and Sharon Carter (roles played by Frank Grillo and Emily VanCamp in Winter Soldier) at the end of the Civil War storyline. Chris Evans has three more films on his contract, though there’s no indication that aspects of this storyline will be used in the films.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens on April 4th.
