‘Frozen’ Still Going Strong at International Box Office
Frozen may have come out on DVD here in the US, but the film is still going strong at the international box office after landing Japan’s biggest-opening this year.
The Oscar winner, which features characters voiced by Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel, is on course to become Disney’s biggest hit in the country after its second-weekend takings surpassed those of its debut.
Frozen has pulled in over $29 million in just 10 days in Japan and experts there predict it will take over from Toy Story 3 as the country’s biggest Disney hit by the end of its run in cinemas.
Earlier this month, Frozen also broke several box office records in South Korea when it became the first animated film to cross 10 million ticket sales in the country.
