Angela Bassett Joins ABC Pilot ‘Identity’

Angela Bassett has landed the lead role in ABC’s drama pilot Identity.

Identity is based on a British series and revolves around an elite police unit specializing in identity-related crimes. Bassett will play Martha, the special agent in charge of the unit. The project is being developed by producer Mark Gordon (Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice) and writer John Glenn (Eagle Eye).
