David Duchovny to Star in NBC’s Charles Manson Drama ‘Aquarius’

David Duchovny has been cast to star in a new TV drama about the search for mass murderer Charles Manson.

Bosses at America’s NBC network have placed a 13 episode, straight-to-series order for a show titled Aquarius, which centers on a Los Angeles Police sergeant’s hunt for the serial killer in the 1960s.

The project reunites Duchovny with NBC Entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt, who previously worked with the actor on both The X Files and Californication.

Duchovny has shared his excitement for the new project and new collaboration with Greenblatt in a statement which reads: “I’m thrilled to be working with Bob Greenblatt again and coming back to broadcast television. I think Aquarius has a chance to be a special show and I can’t wait to get going.”

Before Aquarius hits the small screen, Duchovny will wrap up the seventh and final season of dark comedy Californication, which is set to end its run in June.
