A Sneak Peek at Lucky Magazine’s Fashion and Beauty Blogger Conference
Lucky Magazine held its 3rd installment of FABB: Fashion and Beauty Blog conference in Los Angeles last Friday and Saturday at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. The event brought together top influencers in fashion, beauty and technology together.
So what did bloggers enjoy? The event started out with Next Level Tech – a panel analyzing new platforms and plug-ins to help content stand out on the web. Eva Chen, Lucky’s Editor-in-Chief, sat down with Nicole Richie to discuss her personal style and the advice she can offer the bloggers in the audience for building their brands. Actress January Jones and Violet Grey’s Cassandra Grey then took to the stage for a discussion titled “The New Look of Digital.” Afternoon Breakout Sessions featured a packed roster including Sophia Amoruso of Nasty Gal, supermodel and philanthropist Karolina Kurkova, and Celebrity Stylist Heidi Bivens, among others. The day concluded with a conversation between Eva Chen and Coco Rocha, one of today’s most digitally savvy supermodels.
“This season I wanted to bring together panelists who have a strong fashion and beauty perspective, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit,” says Chen before last week’s event. “The most successful brands are constantly changing and to speak to that, we have ambitious women like Nicole Richie, Coco Rocha and Cassandra Grey. And, of course, we’ll offer best practices from some of the leading voices in the industry, such as Stephanie Mark from The Coveteur and Aimee Song from Song of Style. The more I learn about the paths each of our speakers has taken, the more I get inspired myself—so I can’t wait to hear what they bring to the FABB audience on the 4th.”
“This spring’s event presents another stellar lineup of industry experts to several hundred fashion and beauty bloggers. This is where the Lucky girl is and we’re thrilled to have P&G Beauty as the presenting sponsor along with Caravelle New York and Miss Me,” adds Lucky General Manager and Senior Vice President, Gillian Gorman Round. “FABB is the quintessential event speaking to what’s now, new and next in the worlds of fashion, beauty and tech and we are delighted that our clients are partnering with us on this program.”
The brunch on Day 2 provided bloggers with the opportunity to network and hear from several brands in an intimate setting.
