‘Star Wars’ Has Started Filming

According to Disney chairman Alan Horn, Star Wars: Episode VII has already started filming. Horn said that the film has already begun production, contrary to the rumors that the film would kick off production on May 14th.

When asked, Horn said “Actually, we’re shooting some of it now.” He noted that as far as casting goes, “We have a lot of them, it’s just not completely done yet.” He didn’t reveal any cast members.

In terms of the script, he said, “It’s all about the screenplay. It has to be screenplay, screenplay, screenplay.” He added that the script is now where it needs to be, as written by Lawrence Kasdan and J.J. Abrams.

The film releases on December 18th, 2015.
