‘Glee’ Extra Fired From Set Speaks

Hit FOX show, Glee, fans were outraged last week when they were unexpectedly given a MAJOR SPOILER…

Nicole Crowther, a film student, revealed the prom king and queen of McKinley High…via Twitter. The overall response was outrage.

Co-creator Brad Falchuck tweeted her angrily, “hope you’re qualified to do something besides work in entertainment”, as well as “Who are you to spoil something talented people have spent months to create?”.

Nicole told The Times she’s appeared in several episodes of Glee as an extra, however she wasn’t in the prom scene because she wasn’t even on set when the prom scene was filmed. She claimed that she thought what she tweeted was a rumor, and she’d heard it from another extra on set. She had no idea the consequences would be so severe until she received Falchuck’s ( and Gleeks’ alike) angry tweets.

Rebecca has currently been suspended from her extras casting agencies for 2-3 weeks, as well as banned from working with another FOX program again.

  1. What did she really think would happen? You don’t even have to be in the industry to know how shows like to keep their story lines secret – she deserves what she gets.

  2. A similar incident occurred on Vampire Diaries – extras have to sign forms now in regards to Twitter and Facebook to ensure that sort of thing won’t happen.

  3. She wasn’t an extra for that episode, she’s done nothing wrong. Maybe the writers should concentrate more on making the show as good as season 1 instead of picking on gossipy students.
