Patrick Stewart Set to Star in Seth MacFarlane’s ‘Blunt Talk’
SIR PATRICK STEWART has been cast in a new TV comedy series from Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane.
The Star Trek star is set to play opinionated British newsman Walter Blunt as he attempts to conquer American cable news in Blunt Talk.
This will not be the first collaboration between Stewart and actor/writer Macfarlane – the Brit has voiced characters on Family Guy as well as his other hit animated series American Dad, in which he plays highly-strung CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) Deputy Director Avery Bullock.
He says, “This new character, Walter Blunt, is not at all like Avery, thank God, because this is live action and I am a Knight of the Realm. Blunt is, however, much smarter than Avery and has his own TV show, which has to be better than being Deputy Director of the CIA.”
Blunt Talk is slated to premiere on America’s Starz network in 2015.
