Miley Cyrus Says Illness Was Not a Drug Overdose

Miley Cyrus spoke up about recent reports that her illness and hospitalization last moth was caused by a drug overdose.

The tour got back on track in London today and at a media event before the show, Miley boasted she was “the poster child for good health” before addressing one reporter’s question about the overdose reports.

She snapped, “I’m feeling good, I’m alive, so that’s f**king awesome… I’ve been laying down for three weeks. I’m gonna go off – I’m like a star waiting to explode.

The pop star had to scrap a series of U.S. dates last month when she was hospitalized following a severe allergic reaction to medication she was prescribed for a sinus infection.

And her plans to start the European leg of the tour in Holland last week suffered a setback when doctors refused to give her permission to travel.

“I didn’t have a drug overdose. I took some s**tty antibiotic my doctor gave me and I had an allergic reaction. I already had a death in my family so my immune system was already low.”

Cyrus pulled out of a scheduled gig in North Carolina on 7 April (14), after admitting she was struggling with the death of her beloved dog Floyd the week before.
