Ben Affleck’s Batman Revealed

Director Zack Snyder has finally given Batman fans an update worth getting excited about, as last year’s news of Ben Affleck being cast as the newest Caped Crusader garnered less than enthusiastic responses.

The Man of Steel director tweeted a photo of the new Batman as he shoots the sequel to the 2013 Superman film in Detroit, Michigan.

The photo shows star Ben Affleck standing beside the Batmobile in black and white looking quite somber. The Batsuit, with it’s tighter fit and slightly different cape design, looks like the closest we’ve come to getting a comic book replica of the uniform.

Affleck has a big bat-shoes to fill, with Christian Bale, Michael Keaton and George Clooney all having previously donned the cape in films.

Ben will star in Superman vs. Batman opposite Man of Steel‘s Superman Henry Cavill. The film is currently scheduled to hit theaters in May of 2016.

  1. I’m not a Ben fan, so I am sure his performance will be worse then George’s for me. At least with George I loved him on ER, so I could look past a lot. I’m sure age also played a factor at the time. My standards were not high.
