Tyra Banks is coming to VH1 and she’s bringing her transgender friends with her, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The former supermodel turned media mogul is in talks to produce an eight-episode docuseries entitled TransAmerica. The series will star transgender model/activist Carmen Carrera, who will serve as a role model for the girls.
“TransAmerica is a groundbreaking docuseries that will blow the roof off stereotypes and set the record straight as we experience the lives of these fun, stunning women. I am so happy to be a part of telling their fierce story,” Banks told THR.
The show will follow a group of millenial, transgender women in Chicago as they navigate their personal and professional lives. The issues that their sexuality may present in their lives will be explored as well.
