‘Frozen’ Is Coming To Disney on Ice

Elsa and Anna are already popping up everywhere (here’s looking at you, Once Upon A Time) and pretty soon the princesses will be able to add another cameo to the list.

Frozen is coming to Disney on Ice!

One of the show’s producers,  Nicole Field, told the New York Times that it ” will make kids and their parents feel like they are actually trekking up those mountains and experiencing the storm inside Elsa.”

Disney is certainly pulling out all the stops to bring the performance to an arena near you. Here are some of the things families planning on going can expect to see:

-A cast of 39 performers

-9 tractor trailers to move from city to city

-A blizzard created by 20 snow machines

-A stage inspired by a six-sided snowflake

-Towering video projection panels that will simulate the movie’s jagged North Mountains (among other things!)

Unlike most Disney on Ice shows, which are usually short scenes from multiple family favorites,  Frozen  will be  98 percent based on the princesses and their story, and yes, movie favorites Olaf and Sven will make appearances as well.

The tour is expected to begin in September, with tickets going on sale in July.
