Joss Whedon Tweets Support To ‘Ant-Man’ Director
Tensions are running high in the light of director Edgar Wright’s decision to back out of Marvel’s latest, Ant-Man – but Joss Whedon knows whose side he’s on. On Saturday, the Buffy mastermind tweeted a picture of himself with gaze cast downward and raised Cornetto in hand.

For those new to Wright’s work, the English director’s three biggest films – Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End, are commonly referred to as “The Cornetto Trilogy” – so Whedon’s selfie is a humorous and telling tribute to Wright’s difficult choice regarding Marvel and the dropped film.
Whedon himself is very much part of the Marvel family, having already penned one Avengers movie and currently filming the next.
The new director has yet to be announced – any guesses?
