Frank Darabont Leaving ‘The Walking Dead’

AMC’s The Walking Dead will return on October 16th for its second season, but Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption) will be stepping down as the series showrunner.

He might remain on board in some other role, but no official announcement has been made yet. Also, no one knows why is leaving the show, but some feel that he could be returning to directing big screen features soon.

Production on the second season is currently going on.
