‘Les Miserables’ Star Eddie Redmayne Is Engaged

Les Miserables star Eddie Redmayne popped the question to his girlfriend of over two years over Memorial Day weekend.

Redmayne and financial publicist Hannah Bagshawe have been dating since January 2012. “I’m lucky to be with someone who is very supportive,” he told People over the weekend. The London Times published the engagement announcement as well, reading:

“Mr. E. J. D. Redmayne and Miss H. J. Bagshawe. The engagement is announced between Edward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Redmayne of London, and Hannah, daughter of Mr. Nicholas Bagshawe and Mrs. Caryl Bagshawe, both of London,”

“He had been planning on it for awhile,” says a source to UsMagazine.com. “They have a very relaxed and supportive relationship… They seemed to have always known they were going to spend the rest of their lives together.”

The British actor first reached stardom in 2011 for his BAFTA-nominated performance as Colin Clark in My Week With Marilyn. He went on to co-star in hit motion picture musical Les Miserables and is slated to portray Stephen Hawking in the 2014 biopic Theory of Everything.
