E3 2014: Evolve’s new monster revealed, DLC first on Xbox One
Evolve is perhaps my most anticipated game of the year and if you, like me, are salivating over any new information about the upcoming title — look no further. Turtle Rock Studios recently revealed a new monstrosity sure to excite the monster and horror fans in us all.
Looking heavily inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulu, the new monster is a terrifying sight to behold, and is just as deadly. What’s interesting to see is how different this new creature’s move set is. The Goliath, which was the first monster revealed, is the hulking behemoth who is often seen charging violently at the hunters. While this new monster wishes for nothing less than death on the hunters as well, what separates this monster from The Goliath is it’s ability to suspend itself in the air, along with it’s ability to use electric based attacks.
During Microsoft’s press conference, it was confirmed that all future DLC for the game will be available for the Xbox One first. In addition to early access to post-release DLC, Xbox One users will also be able to access the planned beta for Evolve in the fall, though no actual date was given.
The fresh trailer below will give you glimpse of the new monster. Evolve is schedule for an October 21st release date on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC platforms. Check back regularly for future updates. Until then, keep it locked here at Fanbolt for updates on this exciting new title. All Hail Cthulu!
