E3 2014: Killer Instinct: Season 2 reveals first character, TJ Combo

Microsoft has unveiled the first character of  Killer Instinct: Season 2. Returning from the first two games is heavyweight champion TJ  Combo. TJ is back in the ring with a vengeance to take out Ultratech once and for all. TJ Combo is playable on the show floor and uses boxing moves to fight his opponents.

TJ Combo will be available this fall, marking the debut of Killer Instinct: Season 2 on the Xbox One. While Double Helix is no longer working on the game, the project has been passed on to developer Iron Galaxy Studios. Iron Galaxy Studios is known for ports of fighting games like Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online, Darkstalkers Resurrection, and their original game, Divekick. They’ll be working on all future content for Killer Instinct for the time being. It’ll be interesting to see what fighters are coming next for the game. Based on the tease at the end of the TJ Combo trailer, next up could be the fiery Cinder. Only time will tell…
