The Simpsons Not Getting Canceled

The Simpsons will go on for another two years. The cast members for the show have agreed to new two-year deals with Fox and the network has renewed the show for a 24th and 25th season. This ends a deadlock that had put the series in doubt due to pay disagreements.

According to reports the cast abandoned their quest for profit sharing while the studio gave in on their hard line of a 45% pay cut. The actors will take a pay cut, but it is more along the line of the 30% they had offered. The license fee Fox pays for the show was also reportedly cut a bit due to the show’s ratings decline.
